Welcome to the website of the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Support Rural Fire Brigade.
We provide support to the operational rural fire brigades within the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai District and beyond, through a large variety of roles.
These include:
- Incident Management Team (IMT) Logistics cell support
- Field logistics support
- Transport and delivery services
- Delivery of supplies and catering to frontline firefighters
- Staging and Assembly Area management
- Bulk Water Tanker operations
- Fire tower management, observation and reporting
- Air base support and management
- Buoywall deployment
- Community Engagement support
amongst many other tasks as required.
If you are interested in assisting us in our many roles, we would love you to join us. Full training is provided. A certain minimum standard of competency, ongoing training and attendance is required, however it is not arduous, provides a great service to your community and can be very satisfying and personally rewarding.
